Domo Apartment is a showroom experience center created by Connecting Technology; a company specialized in Home Automation systems. Domo was built to show the possibilities of technology integration into daily life. The entire apartment is equipped with home automation control software directly connected to e:cue´s Lighting Application Suite (LAS), which allows the home automation control software to send signals to LAS. The lighting effects in the apartment, such as the virtual window and glass wall are controlled by ten e:cue Butlers – DMX engines used in standalone mode mode, to replay and loop pre-programmed lighting shows. Additionally, an e:cue Light Drive RGB which is an interactive user interface capable of custom triggering is used to change the intensity of lighting installations and to control the lighting scenes separately or simultaneously. All lighting ambiances can be controlled separately or all at the same time. Light-Drive RGB also triggers synchronization between automatic dimming of lights when the television is powered on, or a changing of the virtual window display in the kitchen from sun to clouds, depending on current weather conditions. Additionally, the light intensity of the 3D mirror in the entrance, which acts as a remote control to communicate with e:cue’s LAS, can be changed.
